Taste of Dublin 12 th - 15 th June . Iveagh Gardens. DUBLIN 

You know Spring has finally arrived when the quintessential Taste of Dublin food festival details areannounced. For the ninth year running, from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th June , it returns to the Iveagh Gardens, adjacent to the National Concert Hall in the centre of the capital and this year  in partnership with Electrolux.

This is a much anticipated social event and as this year's theme is " Food For Thought ",  focus will be on provenance and for guests to think about what they consume every day.
Once again Taste of Dublin is bringing a superb selection of restaurants to the festival, all offering small tasters of their signature dish, from Michelin * Chapter One, where Ross Lewis  will showcase his decadent sweet treats. A dedicated dessert only restaurant which will run over the course of the four days. This is sure to be a Temple of pure indulgence....yummmm, What's not to love !!!

Or sample Modern Irish Cuisine at Clodagh's Kitchen,

Contemporary dishes based on the very best of Irish indigenous ingredients at the Hot Stove

  From the 5* Boutique hotel Dylan, The Dylan Restaurant who won Best Dish in Show last year.

Discover fragrantly fresh  Cuisine with ginger and lemon grass of Saba to the sizzling spicy dishes with garlic and chillies of Jaipur.

Or Savour the land of rolling hills, terraced olive groves,vineyards and glorious sun through the food of Anita Thoma of Il Primo

Also on hand, Explore the World of B.B.Q and Al Fresco dining with Chefs sharing their most treasured recipes and tips, while preparing mouth watering B.B.Q food, with robust flavours over naked flames that will leave you and your friends craving for more.

Aspiring Chefs can view Cooking demonstration in the "Taste Theatre " or take part in interactive Culinary features in the " Chef's Secret " Cookery school.

In addition, this year sees the launch of the "Secret Ingredients" station, where Michelin starred Chefs will reveal the secret of achieving great tasting food at home.

With " Food for Thought " as the running theme, Taste of Dublin will be hosting an exhibition of Food Photography and amateurs photographers  will be encouraged to share their own food pictures.

Internationally renowned Chefs like Michel Roux Jr will be in abundance this year, from the Award Winning Simon Hulstone of The Elephant Restaurant in Torquay, Tom Kitchin of the Michelin* The Kitchin, Monica Galetti, Senior Sous Chef at Le Gravoche and the cutting edge brothers Jonray & Peter Sanchez-Iglesias of the Michelin* Casamia, not forgetting our very own stars such as Ross Lewis of Chapter One, Kevin Thornton of Thornton's , Clodagh McKenna of Clodagh's kitchen, Kevin Dundon of Dunbrody House and Darina and Rachel Allen of Ballymaloe House.

The festival will also have its own Artisan market, showcasing the best of Irish produce as well as some of Europe's finest food producers among others Ballymaloe Relish, McCormack Farms, Knorr, Celtic Whiskey,Dublin Wine Rooms,and Dingle Brewery, so there will be lots of free tasters for you to sample and savour. So forget the cares of the day and linger with your favourite people while being entertained by a great selection of live bands.
